Three youths from the Don Bosco Oratory will be representing the Maltese and Gozitan dioceses at an international youth pilgrimage for peace in South Korea, being organised by the National Reconciliation Committee based in Seoul.

The pilgrimage will cover over 300 km in eight days, focusing on places connected with the Korean War. The youths will also venture into the demilitarised zone near the border between South and North Korea.

Before leaving for Seoul last Tuesday, the youths – Stephanie Galea, William Galea and Josmar Saliba – met Gozo Bishop Mario Grech and the director of the Don Bosco Oratory, Fr Effie Masini.

Before leaving, Mgr Grech presented the Tau Cross, symbolising the peace of St Francis, to the three youths.
