The draws of the preliminary round of the 2018/2019 UEFA Europa League reserved different scenarios for Malta's representatives, Gżira United and Birkirkara, on Tuesday.
Gżira, who will be making their first European appearance in 45 years, were drawn against Sant Julia of Andorra.
The first leg will be played in Andorra on June 28 while the Maroons will host Sant Julia at the Centenary Stadium, on July 5.
This is the first time that Saint Julia will face a Maltese side in a UEFA competition.
Meanwhile, Birkirkara will face KI Klaksvik of the Faroe Islands with Paul Zammit's clan starting their commitments at the Centenary Stadium, on June 28.
The Stripes, then, have to make the trip to the Faroes a week after to complete this double-legged affair.
Like Sant Julia, KI never met a Maltese club in the European competitions.
