The Maltese capital Valletta is showing of its cultural side as European Capital of Culture 2018. 

This feature from ARTE focuses on some featured artists from the compact capital city as well as the aftermath of the assassination of journalist Daphne Caruana. 

"The image is ruined. In 2018, Valletta has to fix it," the narrator says during the first segment of the feature which focuses on V18 as well as activists' fight against corruption.

The feature also features an interview with artist Giuseppe Borg Bonaci who warns about the danger of big money ruining Strait Street.
