• Munxar parish will today open Gozo’s festive season with the titular feast of St Paul’s Shipwreck. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead a Pontifical Mass at 8.30am. Cathedral Archpriest Mgr Joseph Sultana will deliver the panegyric. Mgr Franġisk Debrincat leads solemn vespers at 6.30pm. The procession with the statue of St Paul, led by Nadur Archpriest Mgr Jimmy Xerri and accompanied by the Mnarja Band, starts at 7.30pm. La Stella Band will give a concert at the village square. At 10.30pm the procession will end with the antiphon and sacramental blessing.
• A blood donation session will be held at the new District Health Centre in Triq tal-Ħamrija, near the Xewkija Primary School, today from 8am to 1pm.
• The Friends of the Sick and Elderly will be organising a charity sale today from 7.30am to 1pm, along the private road between the Secondary School in Victoria next to Arkadia Commercial Centre.
• MUSEUM superior Joe Fenech will be holding a prayer and catechesis meeting at Fontana parish on Thursday from 10 to 11am. All are welcome.
• Fr Marcello Ghirlando will celebrate Mass and lead a healing service at St Anthony church on Thursday at 7pm. There will be adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 6 to 7pm. All are welcome.
