The 220th anniversary of the French arrival in Malta is being marked with a series of cultural events by the Historical Re-enactment Group of Malta (HRGM) and Reġjun Tramuntana as part of the first edition of the Reġjun Tramuntana Military Festival being held on June 5, 6 and 8.

These cultural events include historical re-enactments and a series of lectures relating to the period of the French Blockade (1798-1800), which will be held at various local council premises.

One of these lectures, ‘Military matters during the French Blockade’ , will be delivered by Neville Ebejer today at 7pm at Mtarfa local council. Entrance is free.
