A short course on pharmacognosy and herbal products will be held in June and July by Malta University Consulting Ltd at the University Residence, Robert Mifsud Bonnici Street, Lija.
This course is mainly aimed at personnel who work in the pharmaceutical industry who have a BSc in chemistry/biology, professionals with a degree in pharmacy-related subjects and postgraduate students reading for a master’s degree in pathology/pharmacology.
Participants will learn how pharmacognosy has evolved through the ages and has developed into a way of life for some patients and consumers.
The course co-ordinator and tutor is Prof. Everaldo Attard, who is officially recognised by the Medicines Authority and appointed as the herbal consultant in assessing herbal medicinal products and food supplements.
