Graduation ceremonies were recently held for a total of 1,121 students who successfully completed courses up to Level 3 at the Foundation College of the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (Mcast). Ten ceremonies were held at the Mcast main campus in Paola and another at its campus in Għajnsielem.
The courses covered various subjects, including applied science, agribusiness, business management, community services, creative arts, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, building and construction engineering, maritime, ICT, as well as the Pathway to Independent Living programme.
Besides continually updating its range of courses the Foundation College regularly launches new programmes.
A total of 79 students this year graduated from the college’s Level 3 courses in printing, which were completely revamped last year.
The new Level 3 programme Diploma in Foundation Studies for Security, Enforcement and Protection was also very popular among students interested in careers related to security, safety, enforcement and protection.
Other revamped courses included the Level 2 programme Certificate in Horticulture and Animal Care, and in the maritime area, the Level 3 Diploma in Deck Operations.
