BUSUTTIL. On February 22, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY ANNE, née Sciberras, aged 71. She is survived by her husband Anthony (also known as Tony, of FBS Group/Foster Clark and B&S Group), her cherished and precious children Brian and Suzanne, her sisters Monica and her husband John Galea and Margaret and her husband Noel Holland, her Sciberras and Calleja cousins, her in-laws Marlene and her husband Lino Scicluna, Margaret and her husband Joseph Wismayer, Nanette widow of Frank Busuttil, Therese widow of Louis Busuttil, Wendy widow of Charles Busuttil, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday, February 26, at 1.30pm for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass will be said at 2pm followed by interment in the family vault at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery (entrance through the back gate). May she rest in peace.
CARABOT. On February 21, at Mater Dei Hospital, ALFRED, aged 64, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Annemarie, his children Sarah, Nicola and Edward, his brother Philip and his wife Nicole, his sisters Mary Ann and her husband Albert, Sandra and her husband Joe, his mother-in-law Connie Sultana, his in-laws David, Paul and his wife Sue, his nephews, nieces and other relatives, his colleagues at St Michael School and his many friends. Mass præsente cadavere, will be said today, Saturday, February 24, at 2pm at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to LifeCycle in aid of the Renal Unit at Mater Dei Hospital, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest. The family would like to express their gratitude for the sterling care and dedication to all the doctors and nurses who looked after him.
DAVIES. On February 21, at St James Hospital, Sliema, Chevalier ROGER DAVIES, KLJ BCrLJ, died peacefully, having celebrated his 100th birthday (the ton) the week before. Much loved and sorely missed by his sons Simon and Andy, and their families. A funeral and memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 27, at St Paul’s Anglican Pro-Cathedral at 10.30am, followed by a wake in the undercroft. No flowers by request but donations to the Seafarers’ Centre (Stella Maris Centre Apostleship of the Sea), c/o Ta’ Liesse church, Valletta, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
