SHORT TRACK SPEEDSKATING (1100 GMT+1)

The focus again turns to Elise Christie. After her triple disqualification at the Sochi 2014 Olympics, a fourth-placed finish in the 500m after a crash and a semi-final exit in the 1500m, Christie's redemption story hinges on whether she is fit to compete in her favoured event, the 1000m heats. The Scot is the world champion at the distance, but, if she makes the start line, must go through the rounds. The final takes place on Thursday.

CURLING (0105 and 0605)

Great Britain's men and women face important round-robin fixtures with Norway and Japan, respectively, to determine if they can progress to the semi-finals. It has been a turbulent few days for Eve Muirhead's rink, in particular, after she was adjudged to have hoglined in the loss to Sweden. Muirhead claimed bronze four years ago, but faces a battle to equal or better that.

FIGURE SKATING (0200)

The ice dance free-dance final takes place, featuring Britons Penny Coomes and Nick Buckland. They were 10th in the short programme and Canada's Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir first, cementing their status as favourites. Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron of France and United States pair Maia Shibutani and Alex Shibutani are also hotly tipped.

FREESTYLE (0230)

The women's ski halfpipe final takes place at Phoenix Snow Park. Rowan Cheshire competes for Britain after qualifying in ninth place, but realistically a medal is beyond her. Cheshire progressed with a best of 74.00 as Canada's Cassie Sharpe (93.40), Marie Martinod of France (92.00) and Brita Sigourney (90.60) occupied the top-three places.

BOBSLEIGH (1215)

The first two runs of the women's two-person bobsleigh take place, with results in training boding well for British pilot Mica McNeill and her brakewoman Mica Moore. The pair crowd-funded their way to the Games after being told their funding was being cut by her governing body in September, but were joint-second and third in the final two training runs on Monday. Canada, the United States and Germany have more pedigree in the event, but anywhere near the medal places would be a triumph for the Micas.
