The following are the top stories in Malta's Sunday newspapers.

The Sunday Times of Malta reports that Vitals Global Healthcare, which had received more than €50 million from the government to run three state hospitals, has accumulated debts of over €55 million.

The Sunday Times also reports that the investors in the American University of Malta have been taken to court by a former employee who is accusing them of causing him “psychological” harm.

Illum reports how medical equipment bought for €3.8m in Maltese and EU funds was handed to Vitals Global Healthcare for a mere one euro. It also reports that former Gozo Minister Anton Refalo in June refused to become Minister of Agriculture. 

MaltaToday says AFM commanders are bracing for a return of the migrant crisis in the wake of comments by Silvio Berlusconi that Malta will need to start receiving migrants once more if his party is returned to power. 

The newspaper also says that Joseph Muscat has effectively blown the whistle on a Labour Party leadership race by insisting he will not seek re-election. 

The Malta Independent on Sunday reports that the police are still working with Europol in an effort to find who commissioned the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia. The three accused men have not given any information. 

The newspaper also reports comments by Nationalist MP Jason Azzopardi on the parliamentary group's duty to give party leader Adrian Delia total support. 

Il-Mument says another woman has spoken of efforts within the Labour Party to push Miriam Dalli as party leader, denying Chris Fearne. It also reports that the FIAU is investigating Konrad Mizzi's declaration of assets.

It-Torċa says several international companies are eyeing investment in Malta, and some have already committed themselves.
