Father and son jointly piloted Ryanair flights on Wednesday in what the low-cost airline said was a first in Maltese aviation history.

Captain Philip Apap Bologna piloted a flight with his son First Officer Richard Apap Bologna from Malta to Toulouse and back and then from Malta to Catania and back.

"This is the first time in Maltese Airline history that a father and son flew an airliner together," the airline said.
