The Grandparents Malta Foundation, in collaboration with Nanniet Malta (Gozo Branch) organised a variety show at the Gozo Ministry hall in Victoria. The show, compered by Lelio Spiteri, included a children’s choir led by Marlene Bartolo, who sang songs written by Lynn Chircop, a duo singer-guitarists, Spiro Sillato and Gamri Grima and a line-dancers group, which included four Gozitan grandparents and a great-grandparent. Committee member Betty Bugeja read a poem written by herself.

Gozo Minister Justyne Caruana, Gozo Bishop Mario Grech and Nanniet Malta founder-president Philip Chircop addressed the gathering, which included a group of grandparents from Malta.

An exhibition of hand-made crafts and other art products produced by Gozitan grandparents was later inaugurated by the Gozo Minister at the Ministry’s exhibition hall.
