Three British singers will kickstart the three-day Lejlet Lapsi - Notte Gozitana in Victoria next month.

Alexander Grove, Richard Coxon and James Edwards, who form the popular ensemble Tenori, will be singing a number of arias, including Because, Maria, Tonight, Caruso, Funiculì Funiculà, Thunderball, Granada and Nessun Dorma during a concert at the Aurora Opera House on May 18.

Tourism Minister Francis Zammit Dimech said during a press conference that Lejlet Lapsi, based on the success of last year's Notte Bianca, aims to bring together people, businesses and non-profit organisations. He described it as a mixture of culture, tradition and entertainment.

Dr Zammit Dimech said while Notte Bianca was a one-night activity, its Gozitan counterpart will be held over three nights during the weekend starting May 18.
