Trust Administrator

One of Malta’s prestigious law firms which specializes in aviation, funds, shipping and various other sectors are currently looking for a Trust Officer to join their team.

Job Description

  • Prepare and arrange signature of all documents required for transferring funds, securities, and other assets to the trust; Ensure collection of income or proceeds from sales of assets and arrange deposit in trust bank accounts
  • Complete account opening documentation with fund houses and financial institutions
  • Create ledger entries to record all transactions within the trust and maintain appropriate files 
  • Arrange payment of liabilities, debts, and the disbursement of funds according to the needs of beneficiaries and terms of the trust deed
  • Assist in the preparation & filing of tax returns for the trust and payment of any tax liability
  • Assist in the preparation of financial accounts for beneficiaries, protector or settlor 
  • Arrange and attend appropriate meetings as required with interested parties
  • Respond to customer queries in a timely and proficient manner
  • Perform general office duties including filing and typing of correspondence 

Person Specifications:

  • Preferably 2 years back office experience in a financial or corporate services environment
  • English at a business level 
  • Microsoft Excel and Word Skills
  • Good Numeracy Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A strong client focus and service orientation
