Payment Services Officer

An international bank is seeking a Payment Services Officer who will form part of the Operations and Treasury Department and will be mainly responsible for reporting and handling the day to-day payment operations for business transactions and related liquidity management, FX management, bond investments and funding requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carrying out payments and handling of funds transfers and claims via SWIFT or SEPA
  • Settlement of business transactions in trade finance, loans and bonds
  • Handling of documentation related to payments
  • Monitoring and reconciling the Bank Nostro and Vostro accounts;
  • Maintenance of correspondent banking and broker contacts;
  • Participation in the administration of loan and treasury business;
  • Participation in the preparation of liquidity forecasts;
  • Performing reporting functions for Operations/Treasury/Finance/Risk

Required Skills, Competencies and Qualifications

  • 2-3 years' relevant work experience in payment services including SWIFT
  • If possible, be in possession of a Degree in Banking and Finance
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Be highly analytical
  • Ability to work effectively within a small team of highly dedicated and committed professionals.
