CALLEJA. On May 12, at Holy Family Home, Naxxar, GIUSA, aged 94, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Loved and remembered by the children of her late sister Giovanna Riolo and their families, the children of her late brother Charlie Calleja and their families, other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at the Basilica of the Assumption, Mosta today, Thursday, May 16, at 8.30am and shall be followed by interment in the family grave at Mosta Cemetery. Donations to Holy Family Home, Naxxar, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
SPITERI. On Monday, May 13, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, ex RMA Surgent NICHOLAS SPITERI, aged 96 from Birkirkara, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Loved and remembered by his children George and his wife Thereza, Joseph and his wife Tania, Mary and her husband Joseph Grillo, Appollonia and her husband Joseph McKeon, and Margaret. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his sisters and their families and other relatives. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at St Elena's Basilica on Saturday, May 18 at 8.30am followed by interment in the family grave at San Andrea Cemetery, Żebbuġ. The family would like to thank the staff of Fatima Ward for their care and dedication. Lord, grant him internal rest.
TABONE – JOE, aged 79, has passed away to eternal life in Albany, USA, on May 14. He leaves to mourn him his beloved wife Sharon, his daughter Ashley and husband Don and their children, his son Sean and his in-laws as well as his brothers Edwin and Edith and their children, Louis and Marthese and their children and his sister Rosemary and the children of his late sister Carmen. Also sorely missed by his many in-laws in Malta including Lara and her partner Joseph and Carl and his wife Krista and their respective children Manuela and Kylee and Max and Kay. May the Divine Mercy in whom we trust welcome him to eternal life in Heaven.
