AZZOPARDI. On May 13, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, JOSEPHINE, aged 81, of Żebbuġ, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister Agnes, Helen widow of her brother Nicholas, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Wednesday, May 15, at 7am for St Philip parish church, Żebbuġ, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 7.45am, followed by interment at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Żebbuġ. No flowers by request but donations to the id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

BLOW. On May 14, at Mater Dei Hospital, RONALD DAVID of Paola, aged 85 years, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Doris, his children Valerie and Derick and his partner Victoria, his beloved granddaughter Jasmine, his sisters Nellie and Winifred, his brothers and sisters-in-law, other in-laws, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday, May 16 at 7.45am for Christ the King Parish Church Paola, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CALLEJA. On May 12, at Holy Family Home, Naxxar, GIUSA, aged 94, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Loved and remembered by the children of her late sister Giovanna Riolo and their families, the children of her late brother Charlie Calleja and their families, other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass præsente cadavere shall be celebrated at the Basilica of the Assumption, Mosta on Thursday, May 16 at 8.30am and shall be followed by interment in the family grave at Mosta Cemetery. Donations to Holy Family Home, Naxxar, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

CASSAR. On May 12, at St James Capua Hospital, TESSIE, née Degiorgio, aged 60, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Loved and remembered by her husband Raymond, her daughter Lisa and her husband Dave Shaw, her grandchildren Sebastian, Gregory and Livia, her sister Joyce and her brothers Lino and John, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St James Capua Hospital tomorrow, Wednesday, May 15, at 8am for Our Lady of Mount Carmel, parish church, Balluta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery, Paola. Donations to the Emanuele Cancer Research Foundation are appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

MALLIA ZARB. On May 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, LUCY, née Mifsud, aged 75, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Harold, daughters Lucienne and Rayner Hensel of New Zealand and Erminia and Michael Townsend of Scotland, her grandchildren David, Stefan, Christian, Emily and James, her sisters Rose, Josephine, widow of Charles Naudi, Helen, Annie, widow of Edmund Callus, Sr Salvina of the Franciscan Missionaries of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (tal-Eġittu), Sr Katie of the Society of the Sacred Heart, and Margaret and her husband Emanuel Zarb, her in-laws John and Lina, Victoria and Charles Schembri, Monica and Patrick Attard, and Daniel and Eileen, all of Australia, Marie Therese, Alfred and Lina, Fr Bernard, SJ, of Tanzania, Edwin and Ophelia and MaryAnne, widow of Tony Valletta, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège will leave Mater Dei Hospital today, Tuesday, May 14, at 8.30am for St Cajetan parish church, Ħamrun, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Ward M4 of Mater Dei Hospital, and request that instead of flowers donations be sent to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
