CASSAR. On May 12, at St James Capua Hospital, TESSIE, née Degiorgio, aged 60, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Loved and remembered by her husband Raymond, her daughter Lisa and her husband Dave Shaw, her grandchildren Sebastian, Gregory and Livia, her sister Joyce and her brothers Lino and John, other relatives and friends.The funeral leaves St James Capua Hospital on Wednesday, May 15 at 8am for Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Parish Church Balluta where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am followed by interment at Santa Marija Addolorata Cemetery, Paola in the family grave. Donations to The Emanuele Cancer Research Foundation will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

CUTAJAR. On May 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, GIOVANNA of Lija, widow of Philip, aged 94, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Lucy, Anna, Maria, Peter, Salvu and Martha, their spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday, May 16, at 2pm for Our Saviour parish church, Lija, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Lija cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

MALLIA ZARB. On 12th May 2019, at Mater Dei Hospital, LUCY, née Mifsud, aged 75, went to meet her Risen Lord comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Harold, daughters Lucienne and Rayner Hensel of New Zealand and Erminia and Michael Townsend of Scotland, her grandchildren David, Stefan, Christian, Emily and James, her sisters Rose, Josephine, widow of Charles Naudi, Helen, Annie, widow of Edmund Callus, Sr Salvina of the Franciscan Missionaries of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (tal-Eġittu), Sr Katie of the Society of the Sacred Heart, and Margaret and her husband Emanuel Zarb, her in-laws John and Lina, Victoria and Charles Schembri, Monica and Patrick Attard, and Daniel and Eileen, all of Australia, Marie Therese, Alfred and Lina, Bernard S.J. of Tanzania, Edwin and Ophelia and MaryAnne, widow of Tony Valletta, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège will leave Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, May 14 at 8.30am for St Gaetan parish church, Ħamrun, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by internment in the family grave at the Addolorata Cemetery. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Ward M4 of Mater Dei Hospital, and request that instead of flowers donations be sent to Dar tal-Providenza. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
