Wedding Anniversary
Lawrence Pace and Winnie Vincenti were united in Holy matrimony on May 8, 1955, at St Ignatius Church, Sliema. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Pitrè S.J. and witnessed by Prof. J. Manche and Carlo Galea. The duties of bestman were carried out by Lorenzo Galea. Con-gratulations on your 64th wedding anniversary from your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Obituaries
DEMICOLI. On May 6, ALFRED aged 77, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Carmen, his daughter Marica and her husband Charles Xuereb, his only niece Kelsey, his sister Mary, in-laws Antoinette, Imperia, Doreen, Vince, Alfred and their families, relatives and friends. Mass will be held tomorrow, Thursday, May 9, at 8.30am at St Joseph the Worker church, Birkirkara. No flowers by request but donations to Life Cycle at Renal Unit, Mater Dei Hospital, would be appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff at St Vincent De Paul, Mater Dei Hospital and Renal Unit. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
EBEJER. On May 5, EDWIN, of St Julians, passed away peacefully at home, aged 64, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Jacqueline née Dimech, his son Miguel and partner Nadine Calleja, his mother Catherine nee Caruana, his father Grazio, his sister Miriam and her husband Victor Abdilla, his brothers Brian and his wife Anna, Fr. Richard SDB, John and his wife Joanne, his wife‘s sisters Nathalie and her husband Rainer Huber, Madeline and her husband Sebastian De Groot, Rachel and her husband Mario Fenech, and her brother Paul and his wife Rachel, his nephews and nieces James, Arielle, Steven, Alan, Jonathan, Rachel, Thomas, Ryan, Stefan, Carina and Sina and their respective families, other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be said tomorrow, Thursday, May 9 at 2pm at St Julians Parish Church, followed by internment at St Leon Cemetery, Żurrieq. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Movement or ALS Malta in Edwin’s name would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal life.
VELLA. On May 7, JOHN (also known as Ġovann) aged 78, of Żabbar, residing in Cospicua, passed away peacefully at his residence comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his sister Mary, his brother Alfred, Mary, widow of his brother Saviour, his niece Josette, his nephew Simon and his wife Stefania, his great- nephews Mark and Matthew, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said today, Wednesday, May 8, at 8.30am at the Immaculate Conception parish church, Cospicua, followed by interment at Żabbar cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Dr Anna Maria Vella has successfully read her PhD from King’s College London, UK. She defended her thesis entitled ‘The Effect of Maternal Opioids on Labour, Delivery, and the new-born in the First Three Years of Life’. Dr Vella received funding from the Malta Government Scholarship Scheme.
