CACHIA. On May 3, at Mater Dei Hospital, HARRY, aged 86, widower of Rosemary, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his irreplaceable loss his children Henry and his wife Joelle, Stephen and his wife Dorianne, Bernadette and her husband Stephen Hall and Julian; his dearest grandchildren Christina and Malcolm, Michael and Aimee, John and Michelle, Marta, Klara, Janine, Michael and Francesca; his dear brothers Josie and his wife Monica, Victor and his wife Tessa, Tony and his wife Joyce and Paul and his wife Louise; his sister-in-law Lydia Attard Montalto, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital, tomorrow, Monday, May 6 at 1.30pm for Ibrag parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Life Cycle (Malta) Foundation will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
GANADO – after a long illness, our dearest ANNA, still young at 74, has claimed her rest, leaving to miss her – her sister, Maria, Louis, her nephew and nieces, Xandru, Francesca and Louisa, their partners, Carmen, Christophe and Pedro, their children, Luc, Samuel and Mia, her cousins and many friends, especially Betty, Joanne, Johanna, Maureen and Kmail. We grieve, but also smile for the vibrant life she shared with us, which we will celebrate with Mass praesente cadavere tomorrow, Monday, May 6, leaving Mater Dei Hospital at 12.30pm for the Għargħur parish church, St Bartholomew, at 1pm. Interment in the family chapel will be at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. At Anna’s request, please do not wear black nor bring flowers, but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza would be appreciated. Thank you doctors, nurses, carers and all who offered support at the Gozo General Hospital, Mater Dei Hospital and Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre.
SAMMUT. On May 3, at Mater Dei Hospital, AGNESE née Gauci, widow of Grezzju, residing in Qawra, St Paul’s Bay, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of the Holy Church, aged 91. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children Joyce widow of Albert Sammut of Queensland Australia, Charlie and his wife Sylvia, Doris and her husband Paul Sammut, Marianne and her husband Joe Vassallo, Silvio and his wife Rita, her 17 grandchildren among whom Fr Colin Sammut ofm Conv., her 17 great grandchildren and their families, her sisters Tessie, Victoria, Grace widow of her brother Tony, her in-law Carmelo and his wife Connie her nephews and nieces, other relatives and numerous friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital to St Francis of Assisi parish church, Qawra on Tuesday, May 7 at 2.15pm where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3pm followed by interment in the family grave at Ħniena Divina Cemetery St Paul’s Bay. Donations to Hospice Malta will be greatly appreciated. Lord, Grant her eternal rest.
