The Malta Stock Exchange (MSE) has been chosen to host one of two conferences held annually by the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE).
The WFE is the global industry group for exchanges and clearing houses (CCPs) around the world. They represent over 250 market-infrastructures ranging from those that operate in the largest financial centres to those that run frontier markets.
WFE exchanges are home to nearly 45,000 listed companies, and the market capitalisation of these entities is over $86.2 trillion; around $81.8 trillion in trading annually passes through the infrastructures saeguarded by WFE members.
For the first time in the WFE’s 57 year history, Malta has been selected to host a WFE annual conference. In March 2020, the MSE will host the 3-day IOMA: WFE 37th Annual Clearing and Derivatives Conference.
The 36th conference was held recently in Mumbai, India and was hosted by National Stock Exchange of India.
