AZZOPARDI. On April 30, at Mater Dei Hospital, NICHOLAS, aged 88, of Żebbuġ residing in Attard, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Helen, his children Joseph and his wife Audrey, and Mary Rose, member of MUSEUM, his grandchildren Martina Joy and Daniel Charles, his siblings, in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Thursday, May 2, at 2.30pm for St Mary parish church, Attard, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 3pm, followed by interment at Sacred Heart of Jesus cemetery, Żebbuġ. No flowers by request but donations to the Archbishop’s Seminary, Rabat, and the MUSEUM Women’s Section would be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

BUHAGIAR BIANCO. On May 1 at Beirut, Lebanon, FR JOSEPH BUHAGIAR BIANCO, S.J., aged 76, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Mother Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brethren in the Society of Jesus in Malta and Lebanon, his cousins and friends in Malta and Lebanon. His funeral will be held today at Lebanon. On Monday, May 6 at 6.30pm a requiem Mass will be offered at Lija Parish church. May he rest in the peace of the Risen Lord.

BUHAGIAR. On May 2, EILEEN, of Paola, aged 77, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Alfred, her son Kevin and his wife Margaret and her beloved granddaughter Michelle and her fiancé Duncan, her brothers and sister, in-laws, their respective spouses, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Friday, May 3 at 2.45pm for St Nicholas parish church, Siġġiewi where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm followed by interment at Siġġiewi Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

CAMILLERI. On April 29, at 3.20pm, NICHOLAS of Gwarda-mangia, aged 64, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brother and sisters Henry, Dorothy and Margaret, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Thursday, May 2, at 1.30pm for Madonna Ta’ Fatima church, Gwardamangia, where Mass præsente cadavere   will be said at 2pm followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CARUANA. On April 28, JOSETTE, née Falzon, widow of Francis, of Rabat, aged 59, passed away suddenly comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Vanessa and her husband Roderick, her son Philip and Theana, her beloved grand-daughters Kristina and Julia, her parents Santino and Vicky Falzon, her sister Rita and her family, her sister-in-law Doris and Rennie, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Thursday, May 2, at 3pm, for St Paul’s Collegiate church, Rabat, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm followed by interment at Santa Margherita Cemetery, Rabat. Donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

MIFSUD. On May 1, EMMANUEL, of Gwardamangia, aged 83, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Emma, his children Dione and his wife Josette, Christine and her husband Edwin, Mark and his wife Elaine, his grandchildren Etienne, Edward, Emily, Naomi,Benjamin and Jacob, his brothers and sisters Maria, Salvino, Annie, Lucy, Alfred, Katie, Rose and their spouses, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday, May 4, at 8.30am for St Joseph parish church, Msida, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. von BROCKDORFF – LINA, née Xuereb, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her devoted husband Albert, her loving children Nikki widow of Richard Aquilina, Hugh and his wife Janice, Greta and her husband Michael and Ana. Her loving grandchildren Simon, Francesca, Alan, Karl, Steven, Rebekah, Matthew, Andrew and Alexandra and their spouses. Her darling great-grandchildren Matthew, David, Matty, Zoe, Jack, Anastasia, Sebastian, Kai, George, Max, Alexander, Nina and Adam. Her dearest sisters Vikki widow of Oswald Camilleri and Louise and Denis Dowling. Her in-laws Marguerite widow of Joe Cachia and Robert and Liz von Brockdorff. Her many nieces and nephews, carers and other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves St James Hospital, Sliema on Saturday, May 4, for Stella Maris Church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addoloranta cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Malta Hospice will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

CAMILLERI. The funeral Mass of Chevalier Major RAPHAEL JOSEPH CAMILLERI will take place at 2pm tomorrow, Friday, May 3, at Stella Maris Parish Church, High Street, Sliema. May he rest in peace.

In Memoriam

GANADO. Prof. JOSEPH MAX. In ever loving memory, today the third anniversary of his demise. Treasured always in our hearts. Greatly missed by his beloved wife Angela, Max and Veronica, Johanna and David and all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

MALLIA. Fond and everlasting memories of dearest MARIKA, a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, especially today the eighth anniversary of her death.
