Soprano Rosabelle Bianchi, accompanied by pianist Julia Miller, will today perform a lunchtime concert comprising timeless arias conveying human and romantic emotions. The concert, entitled Per Passionem Musica (Emotions through Music), takes place at noon in St Augustine church, Old Bakery Street, Valletta.

The programme includes arias and songs by Schumann, Strauss, Debussy, Massenet, Rossini, Bellini and Schubert, which are all the epitome of the romantic genre. The programme also features Bellini’s Il Fervido Desiderio, Schubert’s Gretchen am Spinnrade, Richard Strauss’ Morgen  Op.27, No. 4 and Gabriel  Urbain Fauré’s  Après un rêve, among others.

The concert will be held today at noon at St Augustine church, Old Bakery Street, Valletta. After the concert, patrons will be offered a free visit of St Augustine monastery. Proceeds from the event will go towards the monastery’s restoration. Tickets at €8 each may be obtained from the venue itself half an hour before the concert begins.
