Students from the Academy of Dance Arts recently won first place in Street Art 2019, an international dance competition, in Lithuania.

The students were awarded first place in free dance formation and third in street dance formation in the Juniors category. Dance soloist Martina Attard and Skye Sperandeo respectively made it to the final and semi-final rounds in the Hip Hop category. The dance-off saw a number of international dance schools compete against one another.

Academy of Dance Arts principal Rowena Grech said: “This was a fantastic experience for our students who got to compete in an international competition. We believe in giving them opportunities like this as they help them in their development as dancers.” The academy is a dance school that provides an all-round education in classical ballet, hip hop, jazz, contemporary and Spanish dance. Its mission is to help every individual student achieve their potential in a fun, friendly and professional dance environment. For more information, go to www.dancearts.com.mt.
