Aġenzija Sapport operates the Ink Project, a person-focused inclusion project aimed at increasing the inclusion of people with disability in the workforce.

Besides offering a programme for people with disabilities, the project also recognises the need to create a holistic approach and offers employer training entitled ‘Disability equality and recruitment’.

The training is a discussion opportunity for employers and staff willing to learn more on working and interacting with people with disability on the job. These discussion sessions are open to employers themselves, members of their HR team or other employees working closely with people with disability.

The training is free and lasts only four hours, thus does not require a big commitment.

The session covers topics such as: disabilities in general; the benefits of hiring people with disabilities; the local law including obligations and benefits; communication and ethics; discussion regarding concerns; services available to help companies recruit people with disabilities; and practical team-building session.

Training sessions happen regularly at the agency’s offices in Santa Venera. Moreover, Ink project team members understand how valuable time is, which is why they can also schedule a date and time and deliver the training sessions at their offices.

Each attendee will also be given a certificate of attendance.

Entities can apply for this training or ask for more information by e-mailing eu.sapport@gov.mt or by calling 2256 8000. One can follow INKprojectmalta on Facebook. Ink is an EU co-funded project under the European Social Fund 2014-2020.
