The Marvel Cinematic Universe will be looking to wind down its ‘Phase 3’ with the highly anticipated Avengers: Endgame.

While it’s uncommon for the studio to offer two ensemble films in such quick succession, after the titan Thanos snapped many beloved characters out of existence in the final moments of Avengers: Infinity War, the follow up has been long-awaited over the course of the year.

Endgame sees the remaining handful of heroes on earth reassembling after half of all life on the planet unceremoniously crumbled into dust. Things are definitely not looking up for the Avengers.

Touchingly, all things suggest that the core cast will likely see the original six Avengers, Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye, reuniting for the last stand against Thanos.

Looking to the future, trailers seem to indicate that Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel will have a significant role in helping the remaining heroes confront Thanos.

Fans have also long speculated about the casting of Katherine Langford (Thirteen Reasons Why), whose character in the film has not been disclosed. Discussion has been swirling as to who she could be playing, whether an established comic book character or a completely new one, and what this might mean for the outcome of the film in its last stretch.

Many are expecting audiences to flock to theatres all over the world this weekend. Its predecessor, Infinity War, currently the third most expensive film ever made, grossed $678,815,482.

Avengers: Endgame is premiering internationally and locally tomorrow night.
