We (Josephine Camilleri, Paul Camilleri, Alfred Camilleri, Catherine Camileri, Mario Camilleri, Michael Camilleri) would like to thank Gozo Minister Justyne Caruana for taking the initiative to relocate the monument in honour of our father, renowned sculptor and statuarian Wistin Camilleri, from the Centre of Arts and Crafts in Għajnsielem, which was named after him, to his hometown of Victoria.

This year also marks the 40th anniversary of our dad’s passing, and 10 years since the monument – the work of Alfred Camilleri Cauchi – was donated.

We would also like to thank the Gozo Cultural Committee and the Eco Gozo Directorate, the workers and all those who were involved in one way or another in seeing that the monument stands in the town where our dad was born, raised, worked and died.

We would also like to thank the public for appreciating his works which can be found across our islands and overseas.
