The plot revolves around an old man and a girl who live in a special forest guarding all the memories of the world. But alarmingly, a sneaky thief starts stealing the precious treasures at an alarmingly fast rate, leaving the memory keepers only three sunsets within which to catch the thief and save the world’s memories.

This is an uplifting family show suitable for people of all ages, exploring the themes of memory, loss, magic and courage. In a world where we communicate less and less with each other, the show reminds us how important it is to share our thoughts and memories – for nothing is ever really lost as long as we remember it.

Originally performed as part of ŻiguŻajg international festival for children and young people, the piece, written and directed by Denise Mulholland with an original score by Luke Saydon, is being reconceived and performed by the full student body of Sopa, aged eight to 16, displaying their skills and talents in singing, acting, dancing, physical theatre and puppetry, with the backing of a live band.

The Three Sunsets will be performed at the Salesian Theatre, Sliema, on Saturday and Sunday, April 6 and 7, at 8pm. For tickets, visit www.showshappening.com.
