Racing Club fan Valentin Aguilera took to the streets of Buenos Aires to celebrate his team's historic Argentinian league title on Sunday - despite having been dead for some time.

In a bizarre interview on TNT Sports, diehard Racing fan Gabriel Aranda explained that he had exhumed the skull of his grandfather, Valentin, so that he could join in the celebrations, CNN reported

Aranda said his grandfather would be feeling proud of his team winning the title, and that he takes the skull out of its tomb for good luck every time Racing play. The reporter then held his microphone to the skull, which declined to comment.

Racing Club have won only two top-flight titles since 1966, and secured the championship last Sunday with a draw against Tigre.

Tens of thousands of supporters took to the streets of Buenos Aires to commemorate the win, congregating at the city's obelisk monument - a famous meeting point for fans celebrating their team winning the Argentine league title.
