Mosta earned a point against Hibernians with a last-gasp goal.

Hibs were the more enterprising side but their efforts floundered on the solid Mosta defence.

Taylon stole the limelight on 40 minutes.

The Brazilian powered his way past a clutch of defenders, before slotting the ball behind Mosta goalkeeper Andreas Vella.

However, the Paolites’ joy was shortlived when they were reduced to ten men three minutes from half-time, Marcelo Dias receiving a straight red card for retaliation.

Taylon lost a great chance for Hibernians early in the second half, when he incredibly hit out with a gaping goalmouth.

It was the Hibs players who picked the ball from their net shy the hour mark when Federico Franchini released Cisotti who planted his shot past Marko Jovicic but the ‘goal’ was annulled for offside.

But Mosta’s effort paid off at death. They owe it to Farrugia who unleashed a diagonal shot against the far post.

The loose ball dropped at the feet of substitute James Brincat who hit it past Jovicic.

Hibs striker Taylon was voted as the BOV Player of the Match.
