Euro Media Forum is organising a series of astronomy sessions inspired by the Guardians of the Galaxy sci-fi films in a bid to instil an interest in science among children and youths.

These sessions combine the world of Marvel and DC superheroes, Star Wars and the real-life astronomy stars such as Galileo Galilei, Isaac Newton, Copernicus and Stephen Hawking.

The course will engage students in superhero/Star Wars-themed projects using astronomy and interplanetary exploration as their basis. This event is also meant as an introduction to the Superheroes and Star Wars in Science event taking place at the end of November.

The sessions are being held tomorrow, on April 2, 23 and 26, May 3 and 10 at Stella Maris College, Gżira, from 5 to 7pm. For bookings, send an e-mail to euromediaforum @gmail.com. For more information about the sessions, visit http://superheroscience.info or call 9905 2482.
