Rabat's streets hummed with activity on Tuesday morning as people flocked to the historic town to celebrate the feast of St Joseph.

The smell of żeppoli - the deep-fried dough balls that are so inexorably linked to the feast day - filled the air as people strolled down Rabat's decorated streets.

Times of Malta videographer Chris Sant Fournier soaked up the atmosphere.

The political leaders attended the religious ceremony in the main Rabat church.
