Palazzo Falson in Mdina is collaborating with Friends of the Earth Malta on a workshop for children aged six to 12, which will take place on Saturday between 10.30am and noon. Participants will experience apiculture up close during this workshop where they will learn about the different varieties of bees and beekeeping by Jorge Spiteri and Martin Galea De Giovanni.

The children will see a real qolla, which forms part of the palace’s collection. The qolla is a traditional beehive used in the past by Maltese beekeepers. They will also have the opportunity to paint their favourite bee and bring home pollinator-friendly plants.

Pre-booking is essential. Send an e-mail to bookings@palazzofalson.com or call 2145 1021. For further details call 2596 1750.
