DEBONO. On March 9, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, JANET nèe Engerer, from Ta’ Xbiex, passed away peacefully at the age of 63, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She will be greatly missed by her husband Anthony, her children Kriss and his wife Marisa Debono, Lisa and her husband Alan Scerri, her grandchildren Isaac and Lucas Matthew, her brother David and his wife Joan Engerer, her sisters-in-law Patricia, widower of Robert Engerer, and Simone and her husband Peter Dimech, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends, most specially Denise Micallef. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, March 12, at 1.30pm, for Ta’ Xbiex parish church where funeral Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment at Santa Marija Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

GELLEL. On March 11, at Loyola House, Naxxar, FR LAWRENCE GELLEL S.J., aged 97, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Mother Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brethren in the Society of Jesus in Malta, his relatives and friends in Malta and in four parishes in New York. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated today at 4pm at the community chapel of Loyola House, Naxxar, followed by interment at the parish cemetery, Naxxar. No flowers by request, but donations to the Jesuit Infirmary for aged and sick Jesuit Fathers and Brothers will be greatly appreciated. May he rest in the peace of the Risen Lord.

MONTANARO GAUCI. On March 10 at Mater Dei Hospital, JOAN ANTIDA née Scerri, of St Julians, aged 79, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Gerald, her sons Antony and Michael and his wife Lisa, her beloved grandchildren Michael, David, Robert, Jeremy and Albert, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday, March 14 at 8.15am for St Gregory Parish Church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.45am followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord grant her eternal rest.

SCICLUNA MARSHALL. On March 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, the most noble MIGNON nèe Scicluna, passed away peacefully. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved daughter Romina, her son Marcus and his wife Marion, her grandchildren Marcus, Matthew and Luke, her niece Marie Christiane and her daughter Justine, her cousin Michael and other relatives and friends who all cherish her love, strength and sense of fun. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital at 1.30pm tomorrow, Tuesday, March 12, for the Naxxar parish church where Mass will be celebrated at 2pm followed by private interment at the family chapel. No flowers by request, but donations to MSPCA through www.maltaspca.org/ donate will be gratefully appreciated.

VELLA – ANNA, née Zammit. On the fifth anniversary of her parting into eternal life and into the Arms of the Lord. Gone but not forgotten and constantly in our hearts, thoughts and prayers and forever missed. Mummy and Simone, Vikki and Paul, Patty, Roger, Maxine and Redent.
