ATTARD. On March 8, at Dar tal-Kleru, Birkirkara, Mgr EDGAR ATTARD, Cap. S.S., of Paola, aged 85, went to meet the Risen Lord, whom he served in the priesthood for 60 years. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his brother Frank, residing in Canada, his sister Evelyn, his brother Albert and his wife Artemia, and his sister Mary and her husband Prof. Victor Mallia-Milanes, nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends, especially from the parish of Christ the King, Paola, and the parishes of Marsascala, Gudja, Tarxien and St George, Qormi, where he served as parish priest. The funeral cortège leaves St John the Baptist chapel (Museum chapel – Female Section), St Monica Street, Paola, tomorrow, Monday, March 11, at 9.30am, accompanied by the Metropolitan Chapter and members of the clergy, for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 10am by Mgr Joseph Galea Curmi, His Lordship Auxiliary Bishop of Malta, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Kleru will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest. Special thanks go to Il-Qaddejja taċ-Ċenaklu and all the staff at Dar tal-Kleru for their dedication and loving care.

BRIFFA. On Sunday, March 3, in Melbourne, Australia, JOE, an exemplary husband and father, aged 95. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Maria, née Caruana, who never left his side, Sue, widow of his son John, Peter and his wife Diane, his daughters Marlene Ennis, Julie O’Sullivan, Annette Briffa, Michelle and her husband Peter, Vickie and her husband Luke and his sister-in-law Josephine, widow of his brother Gaetan, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In Malta he left his sole surviving brother Michael, and Lina, widow of his brother Frank, his nephews and nieces and grand nephews and nieces. A Mass for the repose of his soul will be said on Sunday, March 17, at noon, at the Ursuline Crèche chapel, Karm Galea Street, Sliema. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

BRINCAT. On March 4, JOSEPH of Birkirkara, who departed peacefully to meet the Risen Lord at the age of 80. He leaves to mourn him in great sadness his sister Mary, widow of Peter Whitley, his brothers Alfred and his wife Mary Rose, née Chase, Fabian and his wife Joyce, née Gafà and Arthur; nieces and nephews together with many close friends, including Josephine Mangion who was always there to help him. The cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Friday, March 15, at 8.45am, for St Theresa Sanctuary, Valley Road, Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.15am. Interment will follow at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. May he rest in peace.

CAMENZULI. On March 7, at Mater Dei hospital, ALFRED, aged 81, passed away peacefully to life everlasting comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his sad loss his wife Alfrida, daughters Josette and her husband Luigi, Graziella and her husband Daniele and his son Stephen, his grandchildren Christabel and her partner Carlo, Gianluca, Angela, Andrea, GianPaolo and Caleb, relatives and friends. His brothers Joseph, Tony, Doreen the wife of the late Raymond Camenzuli. The funeral will take place tomorrow, Monday, March 11, at 2pm, at St Joseph parish church, Msida, where Mass will be celebrated, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest. No flowers by request, but donations to the Malta Community Chest Fund are welcome. The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and doctors of Ward M3 at Mater Dei.

CIANTAR. On Monday, March 4, LOUISE née Scerri Taylor passed away suddenly to be reunited with her dear husband Vince. She leaves to mourn her son Stephen, his wife Charlotte, and her grandson Sam, her brothers and sisters, in-laws, nephews, nieces and numerous friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday March 11 at 1.30pm for St Publius Parish Church in Floriana, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addorolata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

ELLUL. On March 8, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, DENISE residing at Gudja, aged 53, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brothers Ernest and his wife Mathilda, and Carmel, her nephew Gavin, aunts and uncles, other relatives and their families, and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Monday March 11, at 2.30pm for the Santa Maria parish church in Gudja where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 3pm followed by interment in the family grave at Gudja cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

FRESLE. On March 1, at Mater Dei Hospital, GLYNDWR of Wales, aged 87, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Margret, his son Lee Patrick, his granddaughter Alison and his in-laws Heather Davies, Barbara and John Fletcher. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Monday, March 11, at 3pm, for Naxxar parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm, followed by interment at Naxxar cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

PSAILA – IMELDA, née Bellia, widow of Joseph who went to meet the Risen Lord on March 4, 2019, at the age of 94. Loved and remembered by her children, Alan and his wife Nella, Charles and his wife Claudine, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her brother Stanley, husband of Josephine, and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral took place on March 6. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

SCICLUNA MARSHALL. On March 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, the most noble MIGNON nèe Scicluna, passed away peacefully. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved daughter Romina, her son Marcus and his wife Marion, her grandchildren Marcus, Matthew and Luke, her niece Marie Christiane and her daughter Justine, her cousin Michael and other relatives and friends who all cherish her love, strength and sense of fun. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital at 1.30pm on Tuesday, March 12, for the Naxxar parish church where Mass will be celebrated at 2pm followed by private interment at the family chapel. No flowers by request, but donations to MSPCA through www.maltaspca.org/donate will be gratefully appreciated.

SELVAGI. On March 5, ANNE, widow of William Vincent, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Her loss is deeply mourned by her children Maryanne, Christopher and his wife Lucienne, Raphael and Margaret, her beloved grandchildren Lara, Andrew, Edward, Paula and her husband John, Joanna and her husband Michael, her great-grandchildren Emma, Oliver, Ben, Alex, Nick, her sister Vivian North and her niece Susan Holmes-Siedle. A private funeral was held yesterday. May she rest in the Peace of the Lord.
