The Times of Malta carried a front-page article on March 1 dealing with comments made by the International Monetary Fund about the Malta Financial Services Authority. To me, it was a very polite way of showing how an ‘independent and autonomous’ institution should be.

The Talking Point on the same day was titled: ‘State institutions hijacked.’ But the heading is history not news.
