Fr Charlon Muscat was been appointed as parish priest of the St Joseph Worker Parish in Birkirkara, the Curia announced on Saturday.

Fr Muscat, 33, was raised in Mosta and completed his tertiary studies at the Faculty of Theology at the University of Malta.
He was ordained priest in 2013.
He started his pastoral mission at the Holy Family Parish in Iklin and in 2014 was appointed director of diocesan vocations.
He also served as spiritual director at the seminary for minors and offered pastoral services at the Dingli parish.
The St Joseph Worker Parish in Birkirkara caters for around 5,800 people.
