The International Women’s Day commemorates the achievements done by women over time and is a focal point in the movement for women’s rights. It has become customary to commemorate the day with flowers given to women honouring their accomplishments. In this spirit, APS is giving carnations to all female employees and female customers as a gesture of recognition.

This year APS Bank has also partnered with St Jeanne Antide Foundation to raise awareness about domestic violence by hosting an art exhibition entitled Umama at APS Swatar Centre. This project is supported by Arts Council Malta and the President’s Award for Creativity and will be inaugurated by the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.

A booklet has been published to illustrate the aims of the projects including paintings created by domestic violence survivors as part of their therapy. This booklet is being distributed today through all APS Bank branches.
