Malta has found its place among the best 10 tourism destinations for LGBTI+ people as indexed by Spartacus, which offers travel advice to the LGBTI+ community.

The government said the site placed Malta in fourth place giving the country nine out of 10 points, following Canada, Portugal and Sweden. In 2018 Malta was at 21st place.

Apart from important acquisitions such as the law introducing equal marriage for all, the site attributed Malta’s success to the country being the first EU state to criminalise all forms of conversion practices and the advertising thereof.
