Young women’s choir Vox Dulcis Chorale is holding a concert on the occasion of International Women’s Day on Friday.

Stemming out of political protest, Women’s Day has now become an international celebration of the role of women in society. The idea behind this concert is to underline the fact that women are a driving force behind culture as well.

The choir will sing under the direction of John Anthony Fsadni and will be accompanied by pianist Petra Magri Gatt. As in previous concerts, they will present a variety of genres including ethnic songs and jazz standards, musical theatre as well as adult contemporary music.

The concert will be compèred by Thea Saliba.

The concert will be held on Friday at 7.30pm at Palazzo de La Salle, 219, Republic Street, Valletta. For tickets, call 9922 1013 or send an e-mail to voxdulcischorale@gmail.com. Tickets will also be available at the door.
