While I applaud Infrastructure Malta’s work to fix the numerous potholes that plague and degrade the island’s road network, why did they elect to use drones to locate areas that need attention when they could have done the job more cheaply and effectively by popping a planner or two onto a bicycle? They would have seen and felt far more and from a more realistic perspective, being up close and personal with the task at hand, more so than in a car. You’d be surprised how much more you get to see on a bike.

This would ultimately have delivered a better level of service to car drivers.
