40320 Pieces for Puttinu project coordinator Steven Galea met with Mater Dei CEO Ivan Falzon to hand over 10 completed, framed puzzles comprising 1,000 pieces each. The project started in December 2017 and brought together a large team of jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts who together built the world’s largest Disney jigsaw puzzle, comprising 40,320 pieces and which is 22 feet long and six feet high. These will be framed by Deco Manufacturing to be hung at the Oncology Building in the coming months.

Following the completion of this large jigsaw puzzle, the group completed another 10 jigsaw puzzles, which each have a Disney theme and which are now hung at the Fairyland Ward, Mater Dei, providing a colourful environment in the children’s ward. The puzzles were donated by Ravensburger and framed by Deco Manufacturing.

Apart from donating puzzles, 40320 Pieces for Puttinu have used this initiative to collect close to €20,000 for Puttinu Cares UK building project. Those wishing to donate puzzles and funds to 40320 Pieces for Puttinu and to Puttinu Cares may visit the Facebook page 40320 Pieces for Puttinu or call 7994 0320 for further information.
