Penned by renowned author John Baraldi, Apotheosis is a multi-visual collaboration between theatre, film and music. The cutting-edge, original and controversial production tells the tragic story of Malta’s first fictional female Prime Minister, a political outcast whose revelations shake the foundations of the political establishment.

The piece is structured around Estonian composer Arvo Pärt’s Lamentate and stars Angele Galea, under the direction of Marc Cabourdin.

Shows will be staged at Spazju Kreattiv from Thursday to Sunday and from March 14 to 17 at 8pm; with a matinee performance on March 13 at 2pm.

The opening performance of Apotheosis will be followed by a post-talk show, stimulating a discussion on the social, political and feminist themes of the play. Additional post-show talks will be held on Friday, and on March 13, 14, 15 and 17.

Apotheosis is being staged at St James Cavalier, Valletta on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and on March 14-17 at 8pm. Tickets may be purchased from www.kreattivita.org.
