BEZZINA. On March 2, at St Vincent de Paul Residence PAWLA, of Madliena, passed peacefully away at the age of 91 comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her sad loss her children Charlie and his wife Maria, Georgina and her husband Stefan Fenech, Maria and her husband John Sammut and Andrew, her grandchildren Martina-Marie, Marie-Claire and Jonathan, her sisters and brother Frangesca, Anna and her husband Max and Charlie and Shiamen of Australia, her in-laws Catherine and her husband Nicholas and Charlie and his wife Joyce of Australia, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Monday, March 4, at 2.30pm for St Bartholomew’s parish church, Għargħur where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3pm followed by interment at Għargħur cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
DIMECH. On February 27, JOE, went to meet the Risen Lord at the age of 70. Never forgotten by his wife Phyllis, his children Desiree and her husband Chris, Carlos and his fiancée Esther, his grandchildren Veronique and Miguel, his sister Marlene and her husband Joe and his brother Frankie and his wife Mary, his in-laws and their families, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be said tomorrow, Monday, March 4, at 9am at Floriana parish church. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
FAVA – JOSEPH M. Welcomed by the Risen Lord on February 13, at the age of 86. Sadly grieved but lovingly remembered by his widow Eunice, his son Paul and partner Rebecca, his daughter Alison and husband David Key, his brother Anthony and wife Carmen in Malta, grandchildren Grace and Toby, Joy, widow of his brother Ron, in Canada, Aldo Cordina, widower of his sister Dorothy, in Malta, all their families, other in-laws, friends and acquaintances. A requiem Mass and service followed by interment at Easthampstead Park, Berkshire, will be conducted on March 7.
MANGION. On February 24, in London, Doctor JOHN MANGION, aged 85. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Pauline, his sons Andrew and Jonathan and their respective families, his stepchildren Jacqui, Sharon, Steven and Kevin, his sisters Lina and Doris and his brother Victor and his wife Josette, his sister-in-law Daphne, other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 13 in London.
PELLEGRINI PETIT. On March 1, ANTHONY (Tonio), aged 91, went to meet the Risen Lord after a short illness borne with Christian fortitude. Treasured and sorely missed by his beloved wife Rosemary, his children Anna, Roberto and his wife Louise, Louise, Pierre and his wife Mireille, his grandchildren and great-granddaughter, his sister Rose Martin, his carer RoseMarie, other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated tomorrow, Monday, March 4, at 9am, at Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

She leaves to mourn her sad loss her niece Margaret and her husband Charles Borg, their children Janine and her husband Jerre, Karl and his wife Maria and Jonathan and his wife Rebecca, her brother and sisters, Rose widow of Edward Sammut, Phyllis and her husband Albert Agius, Oswald Tanti and his wife Alice, Iris, widow of Frank Stafrace, and her in-laws Louise Tanti and Monica Tanti in the UK, together with her many nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Monday, March 4, at 9am, for the Divine Mercy Sanctuary, San Pawl tat-Tarġa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. SCHEMBRI. On March 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, OLIMPIA, née Caruana, aged 90, widow of Anthony, of Marsa, residing in Msida, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her three children, Jennifer, wife of Raymond Aquilina; Philip and his wife Lorraine; and Desmond and his wife Bernadette; her grandchildren Romuald and his wife Antoinette; Maria Paola and her husband Ishmael Cocker; Kristian; Annalise and her fiancé Daniel; Joseph and his partner Donna; great-grandchildren Alexander and Edward Paul, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Thursday, March 7, at 8am, for St Francis church, Villambrosa, Ħamrun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Sale of antique and old furniture
A sale of antique and old furniture and collectibles will be held at St Helen’s parish centre Birkirkara (at the back of St Helen’s Church) from Tuesday, to next Sunday.
Opening hours will be daily between 9am and noon and from 5 to 7.30pm. On Saturday and Sunday mornings only.
