DISTEFANO. On February 28, ROSE, née Darmenia Grech, widow of Frank, aged 89, went to meet the Risen Lord. She leaves to mourn her loss her children, Ivan and his wife Sandra, Claude and his wife Gail and Nicolette and her partner Max, her grandchildren Marco, Elena, Gianluca, Rachel, Daniel and Giulia, her dedicated carer Jeanette and many relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Saturday, March 2, at 8.30am for Tal-Ibraġ parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord grant her eternal rest.
FAVA – JOSEPH M. Welcomed by the Risen Lord on February 13, at the age of 86. Sadly grieved but lovingly remembered by his widow Eunice, his son Paul and partner Rebecca, his daughter Alison and husband David Key, his brother Anthony and wife Carmen in Malta, grandchildren Grace and Toby, Joy, widow of his brother Ron, in Canada, Aldo Cordina, widower of his sister Dorothy, in Malta, all their families, other in-laws, friends and acquaintances. A requiem Mass and service followed by interment at Easthampstead Park, Berkshire, will be conducted on March 7.
MIFSUD. on February 27, SAVIOUR, age 80, went to meet the Risen Lord and his beloved wife Rena. Treasured and missed by his only daughter Marita, his son-in-law Odilon and his beloved grandson Nicholas, his sister Giuliana, his brother-in-law Julian, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated tomorrow, Saturday, March 2, at St Julian’s parish church at 9am, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi will be appreciated.

PELLEGRINI PETIT. On March 1, ANTHONY (Tonio), aged 91, went to meet the Risen Lord after a short illness borne with Christian fortitude. Treasured and sorely missed by his beloved wife Rosemary, his children Anna, Roberto and his wife Louise, Louise, Pierre and his wife Mireille, his grandchildren and great-granddaughter, his sister Rose Martin, his carer RoseMarie, other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 4, at 9am, at Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
PORTELLI – JOSEPH, from Valletta. Welcomed by the Risen Lord on February 28, at the age of 92. Sadly grieved but lovingly remembered by his widow Iris, his daughter Isabella, his son Raymond and his wife Joyce, his daughter Annabella, all his nephews and nieces, his sister Tessie, family members and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow, Saturday, March 2, at 8.30am, at the Basilica of St Dominic, Valletta, followed by interment at Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
SAMMUT. On March 1, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY, née Tanti, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her sad loss her niece Margaret and her husband Charles Borg, their children Janine and her husband Jerre, Karl and his wife Maria, and Jonathan and his wife Rebecca, her brother and sisters, Rose widow of Edward Sammut, Phyllis and her husband Albert Agius, Oswald Tanti and his wife Alice, Iris widow of Frank Stafrace and her in-laws Louise Tanti and Monica Tanti, in the UK, together with her many nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday, March 4, at 9am, for the Divine Mercy Sanctuary, San Pawl tat-Tarġa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

A Mass will be said for the repose of the soul and in memory of the late Judge MAURICE CARUANA CURRAN on Saturday, March 9 at 10am at St Francis church, Republic Street, Valletta, on the fourth anniversary of his passing.
