The FA Trophy quarter-final matches which were postponed last weekend due to the inclement weather have been rescheduled for May 3 and 4, 2019.

The match between Pietà Hotspurs and Gżira United, abandoned in the 89th minute last Saturday, will resume on Friday, May 3 at 19.00 at the National Stadium. The score was 1-1 when referee Emanuel Grech decided to abandon the match after a hailstorm rendered the pitch of the Hibernians Stadium unplayable.

In accordance with  Article 15 (iv) of the Malta FA Competition Rules, the Pietà Hotspurs-Gżira United quarter-final will resume from the point in time of the match when it was abandoned or discontinued, and the remaining match time must be played.

The second quarter-final, Mosta vs Birkirkara, is now scheduled to take place on Friday, May 3, at the National Stadium. Kick-off is 20.00

The remaining two quarter-finals – Tarxien Rainbows-Balzan and Hibernians-Valletta – will be played on Saturday, May 4 at 16.00 and 18.00 respectively.

The rescheduling of the FA Trophy quarter-finals, which will now be played after the end of the 2018-19 BOV Premier League, has also necessitated changes to the dates of the competition’s semi-finals and final.
