The introduction of the Aircraft Registration Act in 2010, with its subsequent amendments, was crucial in allowing Malta to develop itself into an aviation hub, setting a strong yet flexible legal framework and positioning Malta as an attractive jurisdiction for aircraft registration.

New legislation has breathed new life into Malta’s aviation industry and the country has been steadily building up a cluster of aviation services including maintenance, aircraft management, cargo operations, training, asset financing and slowly but surely, elements of the leasing sector.

Josephine Farrugia will this evening be giving a public lecture at Binja Laparelli, Central Bank of Malta at 6pm.

Admission is free, however, registration is required on publicrelations@centralbankmalta.org. For this lecture, an ID card will have to be presented at the door.
