ARENA. On February 25, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIA ASSUNTA (Sissie), née Cassar, widow of William, aged 86, passed away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Marthese, her son Alexander and his wife Silvana, her dearest granddaughter Jessica and her boyfriend Matthew, her brother Joseph, her sister Mary, in-laws, nephews, nieces and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, February 27, at 8.30am for St Julian’s parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. 

BORG. On February 25, at Mater Dei Hospital, HORACE (Grazio) of Rabat, aged 81, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Lily, his children Ronnie, Sylvia and her partner Ray Falzon, and Carmelo, his grandchildren Joseph, Luca, Andreas, Ilona and Ana, their fiancés, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Thursday, February 28, at 1.45pm, for St Paul’s parish church, Rabat, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at St Andrew’s Cemetery, Żebbuġ. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

BRIFFA. REYNOLD (Remy), Hounslow, UK. With deep regret Magda and Sandro Magri would like to announce his demise on February 9. He leaves to mourn his loss his sister-in-law Ingeborg Briffa, his nieces Marie Louise, Anne Marie, nephew Domenic and their respective spouses and family, other relatives and many friends in Malta and abroad, especially those who helped him through his difficult days. Funeral Mass will be held today 27th, at 11am, at St Michael and St Martin church, Bath Road, Hounslow, followed by cremation at Hanwell Crematorium. Remember him in your prayers.

CAMILLERI. On Sunday, February 24, JOE, of GŻira, aged 85 passed away. He leaves to mourn his loss his sisters Suor Loredana of the Augustinian Sisters in Rome and Annie, widow of Reno Borg, his brothers Frank and his wife Mary, Alfred and his wife Iris, his nieces and their families, numerous relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Thursday, February 28, for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, GŻira, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar Tal-Providenza would be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

INGUANEZ. On February 26, LINO, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, peacefully went to meet the Risen Lord. He leaves to mourn his very great loss his loving wife Margaret, his beloved mother Carmelina, his daughters Lorraine and Nadine and their husbands Johnny and Joe, as well as his grandchildren Lily, Maisie, Martha and Jack, his sisters Marlene, Lilian and Marthese and their families. Mass præsente cadavere will be said on Friday, March 1, at 2pm, at Ta’ Xbiex parish church, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest. The family would like to thank all the staff at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre for their constant dedication and care.

MICALLEF. On February 26, JOHN, went to meet the Risen Lord at the age of 83. Treasured and remembered by his loving wife Sylvia, his daughter Margaret and Lawrence, his son Joseph and Michelle, his nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated today, Wednesday, February 27, at 8.30am at Balluta parish church. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

MIFSUD. On Tuesday, February 26, at Mater Dei Hospital, PAUL of Rabat, residing at Fgura, widower of Mary, née Bugeja, of Żurrieq, aged 86, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his only son Joseph, head of school Tarxien primary, in-laws, many relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said tomorrow, Thursday, February 28, at 2.30pm, at Fgura parish church, followed by interment at St Andrew’s Cemetery, Luqa. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

MIZZI. Fondest memories of OLIVER, former Italian football commentator on Radju Malta and Super One Radio, who left this world on February 23, at the age of 75. He was dearly loved by his wife Mary, his daughter Veronica, his son Omar Enrique and his wife Lucienne and their children Gianluca and Antonio. Mass for the repose of his soul will be said tomorrow, Thursday, February 28, at 8.30am, at the Sanctuary and Basilica of Santa Marija Rotunda church, Mosta. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

MUSCAT. On February 23, at Casa Antonia, Balzan, JOSEPH of Attard and formerly a resident at Simblija Care Home, Naxxar, aged 82, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his beloved wife Mary Lourdes, his brothers Godwin and Neville and their respective spouses, his sister Antoinette Tabone, his in-laws Charles Camilleri, Carmen and Oliver Agius, Maria Fenech Clarke, his nephews and nieces, their respective spouses and children, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Thursday, February 28, at 1.30pm for St Mary’s parish church, Attard, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest. His wife would like to express her gratitude to the staff at both care homes for their dedication and care.

Sale of antique and old furniture and collectables at St Helen’s parish centre Birkirkara (at the back of St Helen’s Basilica) from  Tuesday, March 5 to Sunday March 10, 2019.

Opening hours will be daily between 9am and noon and 5 to 7.30pm.  Saturday and Sunday morning only.
