The annual rate of inflation as measured by the Retail Price Index in January was 1.49%, the same as in December.
The 12-month moving average rate was 1.21%, according to the National Statistics Office.
The largest upward impact on annual inflation was recorded in the food index, mainly due to higher prices of take-aways, while the largest downward impact was recorded in the clothing and footwear index, mainly reflecting lower prices of garments.
