ARENA. On February 25, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIA ASSUNTA (Sissie), née Cassar, aged 86, widow of William Arena, passed away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Marthese, her son Alexander and his wife Silvana, her dearest granddaughter Jessica and her boyfriend Matthew, her brother Joseph, her sister Mary, in-laws, nephews, nieces and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Wednesday, February 27, at 8.30am for St Julian’s parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. 

BUHAGIAR. On February 23, at Jasmine Nursing Home, Birkirkara, ANGELICA of Żurrieq, widow of Joseph, aged 86, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children Dr Louis Buhagiar and his wife Michelle, Charles, and Michelle and her husband Anthony Mangion, her grand-children Alexander, Stephen, Edward, David, Roberta, Angelle, Kristin, Ryan and their spouses, her great-grandchildren, her brother Publius and his wife Karmena, in-laws and the families of her deceased siblings, Giuseppa, Giovanna, Karmena, Antonia, Michael and Joseph, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Jasmine Nursing Home tomorrow, Wednesday, February 27, at 2.15pm, for St Catherine’s parish church, Żurrieq, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 3pm, followed by interment in the family grave at St Leone Cemetery, Żurrieq. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. The family would like to express their gratitude for the care and dedication she was shown during her stay at Jasmine Nursing Home.

GERA. On February 25, ISABEL, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Francis, her daughters Alison and Patricia, their partners Slawomir and Eddy, other relatives and many friends. Funeral Mass will be said tomorrow, Wednesday, February 27, at San Ġwann parish church at 2pm, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

MICALLEF. On February 26, JOHN, went to meet the Risen Lord at the age of 83. Treasured and remembered by his loving wife Sylvia, his daughter Margaret and Lawrence, his son Joseph and Michelle, his nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be celebrated tomorrow, Wednesday, February 27, at 8.30am at Balluta parish church. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

MIZZI. Fondest memories of OLIVER, former Italian football commentator on Radju Malta and Super One Radio, who left this world on February 23, at the age of 75. He was dearly loved by his wife Mary, his daughter Veronica, his son Omar Enrique and his wife Lucienne and their children Gianluca and Antonio. Mass for the repose of his soul will be said on Thursday, February 28, at 8.30am, at the Sanctuary and Basilica of Santa Marija Rotunda church, Mosta. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

In Memoriam

BORG – PETER. In memory of a dear brother on the eighth anniversary of his death. Always in our thoughts and prayers, never forgotten by his sister Jane Testaferrata Moroni Viani, his brother Tony and his wife Maria and their respective families. BORG BELLANTI. In loving memory of NOELLE, today the second anniversary of her demise. Always remembered with much love and sadly missed by all her family and friends.

CACHIA FEARNE – JOSEPH. In loving memory of a devoted father and grandfather on the anniversary of his passing away to eternal life. Fondly remembered by his son John, his daughter-in-law Rebecca and his grandson Matthew. Today’s 6.30pm Mass at Tal-Ibraġ parish church will be offered for the repose of his soul. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CASSAR TORREGGIANI. In loving memory of our dear brother RAPHAEL, today the 13th anniversary of his passing away. Remembered with much love by his siblings, Michael, Christine, Jackie and Philip and their spouses. Also by his nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. A Mass will be offered today at 6pm at the Ursuline Sisters chapel, Sliema. Sadly missed along life’s way. Quietly remembered every day.

GRIMA – ROMEO. In ever loving memory of a dear father on the 49th anniversary of his leaving us. Loved and missed by his sons Joseph and his wife Carmen, Vincent and his wife Maria and their families.

HERRERA – ROSE. Treasured memories of our dear mother, today the anniversary of her passing away.

PACE. In loving memory of DORIS on the 25th anniversary of her death. Always remembered in our thoughts and prayers. Her family.

PACE – VIOLET. In loving memory of a cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who departed this life 17 years ago today.
